Having completed the European leg of the intercontinental tour in support of their third studio album, In Vaults, in March and April, District 97 now brings the infectious songs to their fans across the Northeastern US. The new tour dates begin this Friday the 13th, in the band’s hometown of Chicago, followed by shows in Detroit, Baltimore, Dunellen, Kennett Square, New York, and Akron through May 20th. The tour will see the band sharing the stage with Detroit prog kings and Laser’s Edge labelmates, Tiles for all but one of the shows. Advancing the new tour dates, District 97 has issued a pro-filmed video of their single “Snow Country,” performed live in Holland on their European tour earlier this year.

Issues District 97 this week, “We’ve been back from Europe for about a month, and we had a REALLY fantastic time. We’re super excited to be bringing the show back stateside now and joining forces with our Laser’s Edge labelmates Tiles, who’ve just released a fantastic new album, Pretending 2 Run. We’re very proud to share a live video from the last show of our European tour, shot at the incredible De Boerderij venue in Holland. We feel the new lineup really gelled while we were on the road. Hopefully this video gets those attending the upcoming US shows excited!”

District 97 is already planning new shows for the rest of the year and into next, having been confirmed to take part in the 2017 edition of Cruise To The Edge, the cruise ship festival running between Tampa, Florida and Cozumel, Mexico February 7th through 11th, 2017, where they’ll perform with the likes of Yes, John Wetton, Steve Hackett, Kansas, Mike Portnoy, and many more.

Delivering over an hour of District 97’s energetic progressive, alternative, metal, pop crossover, the immaculately produced In Vaults shows this young, diversified rock outfit in their most impressive form yet. In Vaults boasts the band’s evocative and powerful songwriting and musical deliverance, as well as a searing performance from American Idol Top 10 Female Finalist, Leslie Hunt. The album was recorded at IV Lab Studios in Chicago, engineered by Chris Harden with additional engineering by Shane Hendrickson, mixed by Jeff Fox and Rich Mouser (Spock’s Beard, Transatlantic) at The Mouse House Studio, mastered by Grammy winning engineer Bob Katz, and dons stunning imagery by Björn Gooßes of Killustraitions.
