After making a name for themselves on the road by supporting artists such as Testament, Exodus, Soilwork, Soulfly and Scar Symmetry, plus performing at Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, Welcome To Rockville Festival and New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, Texas melodic metal quintet Shattered Sun are adding another massive festival run to their list.

It was just announced that Shattered Sun will join the 2017 Vans Warped Tour, presented by Journeys line up! The band will tour with the festival from July 26 through August 6, performing daily on the Full Sail Stage.

Shattered Sun vocalist Marcos Leal states, “We are extremely excited to be a part of this year’s Vans Warped Tour and its phenomenal line up! We’ve shared so many great memories at VWT over the years – from passing out from the heat in San Antonio, to rocking out to August Burns Red, to crowd surfing during A Day To Remember – we can’t wait to bring our style of Texas Metal to this year’s line up and show people our new music! Be on the lookout because the Texas RAGERS are coming. See you in the pit!”

The Vans Warped Tour is well known as America’s longest running touring music festival of the summer. Since 1995, the tour has been a showcase for both established and up and coming talent, across a wide range of eclectic sub-genres. The tour has also cemented its place in history by bringing alternative rock and skate culture from the underground to the forefront of global youth culture, while at the same time helping those in need through non-profit and eco initiatives.
